Caroline Barlerin, Hotchkiss '91, was recently named as one of Silicon Valley's Top 40 Under 40. She is the director of global community involvement at Hewlett-Packard Co.'s office of Global Social Innovation in Palo Alto. She is in charge of the company's 300,000+ employees and retirees effort in nonprofit work on a global basis. This past year, she initiated a global program that pairs HP's employees with underprivileged children to teach them professional and technological skills. Outside of work, she has been on the board of Taproot Foundation for over 10 years, a nonprofit pro bono (Latin: for public good) organization whose mission is to strengthen other nonprofits by engaging business professionals.
Caroline was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford Business School and received her bachelor's degree in sociology at Vassar College.
