Will Rhoads, Northwood '14, to compete in 2012 Youth Olympics

Fifty-seven athletes - from 22 states - were named to compete in the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games. They will head to Innsbruck, Austria to represent the United States for the first ever Winter Youth Olympic Games.

Will Rhoads, a junior at Northwood '14 in Lake Placid, NY, will be competing in Ski Jumping.

The Youth Olympics Games bring together 14-19 year old athletes from around the world. The first Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore Summer 2010. In total, more than 1050 athletes from over 60 countries will compete in Innsbruck. They will compete in 15 sporting disciplines including: Alpine Skiing, Curling, Bobsled, Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, Luge, Snowboarding, Speedskating and many more.

The first day of competition is today, January 13th.
