Reid Mosquera, Andover '09, Finishes Top 8 in NCAA Wrestling

Reid Mosquera at the Centennial Conference
Coming off the Blue Jays (Johns Hopkins) first ever Centennial Conference win in the end of February, Reid Mosquera, Andover '09, was more focused than ever for Nationals, just two weeks later.

Earlier last month at the NCAA Championship, Mosquera (197) and his teammate, Freshmen Paul Bewak (125), led the Blue Jay's to place 27th nationally - the highest in Johns Hopkins' history. Mosquera finished 8th and Bewak finished 7th in their respective divisions earning them both All-American honors. Mosquera had one of the toughest paths of any wrestler in the tournament as he was matched against wrestlers seeded 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. With an opportunity to prove himself, Mosquera charged forward defeating 4 of his 5 NCAA opponents by 4 points or less.

Congratulations, Reid and Paul.
